What you will learn in this workshop:
Understanding the dynamics of Receiving and Giving and taking them apart
Understanding who is doing and who it is for – because they are different
Gaining skills of empowerment and communication – noticing, valuing, and trusting desires, having the courage to ask for what you want, and feeling safe enough to receive
Understanding and embodying the Wheel of Consent happens best through a somatic experience – you have to feel it in your skin. Therefore, learning the Wheel happens through touch exercises.
What this workshop is:
This Workshop teaches you the practice of the Wheel of Consent.
We do our best to help you experience each of the four quadrants. Once you have the experience, we talk about how to bring these insights and practices to your work with clients.
As you continue with the practice, you will gain insight into how it applies to many situations in your life, including family, work, community and social dynamics. How you will integrate that in your work and life, will be up to you!
What this workshop is not:
Therapy – though it will likely challenge you personally and bring you insights!
An anti-oppression or social justice training – though we will look at how those dynamics affect one’s ability to consent!
A training that teaches you how to deliver the full Wheel of Consent Workshop curriculum. We have a Facilitator Certification program if you’d like to do that.
Important note: This workshop is not a substitute for “like a pro” Workshop with the school of Consent from Betty Martin. Since this trainingis for practising professionals, it allows you to use the concept in your work practice and you will get a certificate of education. Organisation / Hosts

Baluu Lehmann
Baluu Lehmann is a teacher and clinical sexologist. Coming from the sex-positive scene his first contact with the Wheel of Consent was 2018. Since then, he organised many workshops in the field of sexuality. While studying clinical sexology and his master’s degree in sexology he missed the topic of consent. That is why he and Filippa decided to invite Dr. Betty Martin to shine a light on this essential issue for professionals working in a therapeutic setting. Baluu is working in his own practice in Zurich and is on the executive board of institut of Sexocorporel international.
Besides his passion for the topic of sexuality, he loves tropical plants (his mangotree is his precious), reading and taking a swim in the river Limmat.

Filippa Frick
Filippa Frick is a physiotherapist and trained in various massage techniques such as Lomi Lomi, Thai massage and medical massage. For over ten years she has been involved with the variety of expressions of touch and its nuances. Most recently, she completed her training as a Holistic Bodyworker and started to deepen her skills in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She is working in her own practice in Zürich Oerlikon while also educating people about touch, consent and interpersonal relationships, represented by the workshop & intimacy research label luhmen d’arc.
Since the beginning, interpersonal relationships have been at the center of her practice. Radical honesty towards others and herself, the non-judgemental perception of needs and setting clear boundaries are important values in her work and her life. Therefore, she is fascinated with the work of Betty Martin for a very long time and was thrilled when Baluu invited her to co-organize Betty’s teaching in Zurich.
